Institut français de Birmanie (IFB) (formerly known as Alliance Française) has been offering French classes to the public for more than 65 years and has developed the best expertise in teaching French in Myanmar. We have the richest French course catalog available, from great beginner levels to expert levels, from general French classes to specialized ones (French for Tourism, Business, and more). IFB students have the possibility to join and practice French while having fun. The library offers a wide range of books, magazines, DVDs, and CDs in French to help the students and the general public grasp French culture thanks to different media. IFB also runs a translation and interpretation committee accredited by the Embassy of France in Myanmar. IFB also offers Myanmar language courses for all levels, beginners in particular. Located on an exceptional green compound in the heart of Yangon, IFB is a multipurpose place for culture and arts with an exhibition/cinema room, large gardens, a cafeteria space, two performance stages, and a big stage, as well as a virtual reality room and a digital museum. Classrooms are equipped for both in-person and online training. Its ambition is to remain a place for creation and cross-cultural encounters for Myanmar and francophone artists. Our cultural centre offers a steady artistic program with several events per month all year long, in a huge variety of fields (performing and visual arts, conferences, cinema, etc.).
