IFF Panamá existe gracias a la inmensa pasión que siente el público panameño hacia el cine. Es la audiencia de este país, siempre abierta al intercambio con todas las naciones del mundo, la que marcó el nacimiento del festival en 2012 y la que lo ha hecho crecer al reconocerlo y apoyarlo como nutriente cultural esencial.

We are committed to helping express the unique, genuine, and colorful flavor Central American and Caribbean cinema is bringing to the table. Our work-in-progress section, Primera Mirada, highlights these films for industry insiders and members of the press – offering an exclusive “first look” at some of this year’s most exciting Latin American productions. Primera Mirada offers economic funds for the completion of the post-production process of the winning project.
