The Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care contributes to the optimization of health care, digital innovation, and improved translation of evidence into practice. Our implementation science teaching, research and training aims to accelerate the integration of research findings into health care and embed them in a sustainable way, as well as removing low-value practices from health care. Our digital health teaching, research and training aims to optimize digital innovation in clinics and create digital interventions to improve community health and well-being.
Our interdisciplinary team covers a wide range of research fields. Our focus lies on implementation science in health care and nursing, digital and mobile health, digital health interventions, and medical knowledge and decision support. There are a number of research studies headed by IfIS researchers in areas such as infectious diseases, hospital epidemiology, cancer screening, nursing science, family support interventions and multiple sclerosis.
We train researchers to apply implementation science in their fields of expertise. In doing so, we support local implementation capacity building. This takes the form of masterclasses and consultation on implementation science projects.
