The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations – Jordan (IFMSA-Jo) was founded in 2006 as a non-governmental organization of medical students in Jordan, by medical students and for medical students. IFMSA-Jo has not only been a dynamic platform of opportunities for the future physicians of Jordan but has also served as their voice at the national and international levels. IFMSA-Jo is committed to the service of the Jordanian community through public health and medical awareness campaigns, serving orphans and the elderly, and even tending to the environment. In addition, there is a focus on students in different schools of medicine in Jordan, in order to put them on the way of community contribution and voluntarism, and give them the needed tools and skills to become role model future **doctors**.
IFMSA-Jo is the largest student-run organization in Jordan representing medical students in the Jordan University of Science & Technology, University of Jordan, Hashemite University, Mu’tah University, Yarmouk University and Al-Balqa' Applied University.
The National Member Organization of IFMSA-Jo has become a full member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) in 2012, and since then it has been active in this international federation with a lot of major focus on students, international exchange programs, national & international conferences, workshops, and medical students' assemblies. IFMSA-Jo represents the medical students of Jordan in front of 136 National Member Organizations from 127 countries around the world during the General Assemblies of IFMSA.
