انجمن صنفی طراحان گرافیک ایران در مهر ماه ١٣٧۶ توسط هیات موسس (مرتضی ممیز، قباد شیوا، ابراهیم حقیقی، ایرج میرزاعلیخانی) تأسیس شده است. در جریان این تلاشها در سالهای پیش و پس از انقلاب، حضور و تلاش مستمر و بیوقفهی زنده یاد مرتضی ممیز در کلیهی مراحل سازماندهی، برنامهریزی و مدیریت، تعیین کننده بوده است.
