Established in 2000, IGNIS Innovation Inc. was founded to further develop and commercialize the pioneering pixel circuit research for AMOLED backplanes begun at the University of Waterloo. We provide innovative solutions (under license) to address the challenges faced by emissive display manufacturers including non-uniformity (“Mura”), image retention, and burn-in of images on the display. Our proprietary circuit design corrects for material weaknesses in the backplane, while a proprietary external compensation measurement system resolves OLED material challenges. IGNIS’ patented solutions enable a wide range of applications such as high dynamic range (HDR) smartphone, IT displays (laptop, tablet), TV, Virtual Reality (VR), Augment Reality (AR), automotive, medical and more.
