Ignite Africa Impact is a private company that intends to locate itself at the nexus between traditional agricultural methods and what has come to be known as “Smart agriculture. We offer a complete solution for the whole farming process, with additional innovative solutions for value chain addition. We provide a much-needed service and platform to smallholder farmers in the rural areas. What this means is that we are aware of the challenge of scale confronting the agricultural sector in Kenya. IAI believes that the insertion of the 4th Industrial Revolution technologies into our activities will unlock the wealth embedded in our agricultural sector. Mobile telephony revolutionized the communications and information sector in Africa and transformed many of its countries into global innovation leaders, creating entirely new industries and jobs. IAI wishes to become a site of testing the effectiveness of such technologies before their being scaled up elsewhere. Apart from agricultural workers we shall also have agricultural technology researchers as part of our structure. The changing climate conditions means that we all need to refresh our thinking and approaches to agriculture and food security. Smart farming offers us new possibilities that IAI knows it needs to take advantage of for the benefit of citizens and people. Using technology and emerging best farming practices. IAI enables farmers to execute production with accurate information and technologically support farmers within the value chain process. This is done through reliable access to inputs and knowledge on the best agricultural practices, enabling smallholder farmers to contribute to sustainable wealth creation and food security. IAI is keen in ensuring optimal utilization of youth in contributing to sustainable food production, decent livelihood and wealth creation. Working with youth people in addressing challenges making agribusiness less attractive to youth.
