Capítulo Brasileiro da International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), a IGS Brasil reúne membros individuais e corporativos com o propósito de apoiar o desenvolvimento científico e de engenharia de geotêxteis, geomembranas, produtos relacionados e tecnologias associadas. Geramos relacionamento, informação, formação e especificação para o uso apropriado dos geossintéticos. --//-- The Brazilian Association of Geosynthetics, IGS Brasil, affiliated with the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), was founded in 1997. Throughout its more than 20 years of activities, it has focused its efforts on two main lines of action in Brazil: disseminating the potential of geosynthetics and their applications and educating and training professionals in the sector to use these materials in solutions for civil engineering challenges. Always very dynamic, IGS Brasil offers, among other things, regular courses, workshops, competitions, development of standards and recommendations. It has in its resume the organization of 3 Educating the Educators courses, 8 national conferences on Geosynthetics and, perhaps its most outstanding achievement, the 9th International Conference on Geosynthetics in 2010. All of this accumulated experience is now at the service of the 4th Pan American Conference on Geosynthetics.
