About Indian Geotechnical Society -CET Student Chapter

Indian Geotechnical Society(earlier Indian National Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering) was established in the year 1948 to promote closer interaction amongst geotechnical engineers spread all over the country. Several local chapters including IGS Thiruvananthapuram were introduced in 1968. In CET, this student chapter was initiated in the year 2018 inorder to motivate the students to give exposure to careers and opportunities in this area and also develop leadership skills among students.
