Igua

Igua is social enterprise that develops solutions to create universal access to safe drinking water in urban areas, promoting a healthy and sustainable consumer behaviour. Igua develops water fountains for public spaces in cities. These fountains are directly connected to the public water network. People only need a reusable water bottle, spare coins or an electronic Igua card. Igua water is more affordable than standard bottled water since there are no packaging and logistics costs. Each Igua water fountain is connected to the internet in order to monitor the amount of water expended, the state of the water filters, etc. All this information is available to the public. The technology developed by Igua is open source and will be published on our webpage.
