The progression of the country's health insurance system is one of the most important highlighted orders among the overall policies of the High Leadership in the 5th Development Program Law and also one of the principal goals of the social welfare sector and Iran Health Insurance Organization. Since the establishment of this organization, the execution of one of the greatest reforms of the country's social welfare system on health and medical treatment of the people was appointed to it. Hence, according to the bylaw of the establishment of IHIO, on 2012/8/13 and based upon the 38th article of the 5thDevelopment Program Law, IHIO was established on the purpose of the integration of health insurance issues of all funds subject to article (5) of the Civil Service Management and article (5) of the Public Audit ACT in Health Insurance Organization in order to deliver the primary health insurance services to all people, in the form of a unit organization.
