IIEST was established in 2013. It was incorporated on 26th September under company act 1956. It started with the notion of providing skills training to every individual to enable them to get sustainable jobs in their chosen field. IIEST was established as training center of NIESBUD, autonomous body of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, under PPP mode. With passage of time, the management board felt the need to focus on the issue of "Youth Self-Employment" . In association with Govt. of India through various skill development as well as entrepreneurship development schemes, IIEST followed the path of implementing the objectives of Goverment Departments promoting skill or / and entrepreneurship development policies in the country. Later as the scope and mission gained momentum with various Industries , Other Govt. agencies, NGO(s), and Councils, IIEST was converted into a Federation. As of 1st Feb 2019,IIEST Federation , a section 8 company, is bounded to promote "not – for – profit activities" related to public and will provide to every SME's & Startups a platform to receive sustainable resources through incubations to accelerate their socio-economic growth.
