IRMUN provides an academic simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real-world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country/portfolio, encouraging students to develop critical and diplomatic thinking on various issues related to past, present and future. This initiative stresses the core values of the United Nations Charter through a series of unbiased discussions. Many of today’s leaders in law, government, business, and the arts – including at the UN itself – participated in Model United Nations as delegates.
