Iketango Buying Group

Iketango Buying Group (IBG) is a progressive procurement arm which represents members who require assistance in procuring product to be utilized for there respective projects or businesses in Mozambique. IBG is an entity that is created to leverage the purchase power of a group of businesses to obtain discounts for members based on the collective buying power, as well as offering our members local market knowledge, extensive product knowledge, efficient delivery, after sale service. IBG promotes innovation in both process and practice in its supply chain, with the objective of eliminating unnecessary costs and promoting added value and satisfaction for the customer. The relationships we forge with our suppliers are of huge importance to us and many factors are considered before selecting preferred suppliers, but once that selection is made, IBG commitment to volume purchases with that supplier for a contracted period. Such arrangements are often renewed year after year and/or project by project ultimately benefiting the supplier with guaranteed trade and also our members end customers with competitive pricing. IBG is funded by administrative fees that are paid by the member and suppliers, fees are set as a percentage of the purchase and/or set as an annual flat rate. IBG does't set mandatory participation levels for their members, Members participate based on their purchasing needs and their level of confidence in what should be competitive pricing negotiated by IBG.
