Welcome to IMI Kolkata's Neev Incubation Center! IKN Innovation Foundation is a fully operational Section 8 not-for-profit company with date of incorporation: 26th June 2023. Entrepreneurship is one of the fundamental pillars in the vision statement of IMI Kolkata. The new Section 8 Company will act as a Special Purpose Vehicle to meet the objectives of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. Vision and Mission - Build a comprehensive ecosystem to promote job-creating startups and drive economic growth. - Address societal challenges through industry-academia partnerships that enable mentorship and knowledge exchange. - Create a platform connecting startup stakeholders with training programs supporting the full venture lifecycle. Key features: - Built incubation center with 30 people seating capacity - Registered Section 8 company, including 80G/12A registration. Donors qualify for 50% tax deduction - Fully operational incubation center website: https://incubation.imi-k.edu.in/ - Large network of partners within local startup community - MoUs with Zoho Corporation, CII Young India, and Calcutta Management Association - Developed 6-month programs (i) New Venture Development and (ii) Local Business Accelerator - 11 incubated startups
