Ilikwa Solar

Ilikwa Solar is a 50 MW solar photovoltaic facility located in South Africa's Free State province, currently under construction. Construction of Ilikwa Solar commenced in October 2024, with commercial operations expected to begin in early 2026. Once operational, the facility will produce approximately 141 GWh of clean electricity annually, powering the equivalent of more than 42,000 homes and avoiding the annual release of approximately 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
