With a history longer than a third of a century, ILIOPOULOS SA has been acknowledged as a leader in the field of agriculture and business, by both national and international standards. Founded in 1985, ILIOPOULOS SA started trading Black Currants, a product known world-wide for its nutrition value and health benefits. This was a decision made collectively by the senior Christos and his son Ilias. It was the father’s experience with the product and his knowledge of the market that got combined with the son’s entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills, giving the company momentum to thrive. Since its inception, ILIOPOULOS SA has seen an incredible amount of social, political, historical, technological, and economical change and has undergone astonishing growth to stay current and respond to the demands of an ever-changing market. The first attempt to attract customers outside of Greece was by sending blind telexes to numbers Ilias handwrote on post-it notes. Over 30 years later, ILIOPOULOS SA exports its product in 3 continents, with regular customers in a dozen countries, including Australia, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Indonesia, England, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Poland, and Turkey.
