Dear Students, Parents, Counselors, and Leadership, Illumination Learning introduces a credit recovery program designed to deliver impactful results by embracing a back-to-basics approach. Our method involves using a paper and pencil workbook complemented by testing through your learning management system. Our program aims to serve as a safety net for students who have not found success through online recovery credit options. There have been numerous studies indicating that the shift towards digital education might be impeding student success by not offering the full advantages of paper-based learning. This transition often goes against students' preferred learning methods, with research showing that two-thirds of students favor reading on paper rather than on digital devices. The tactile engagement with paper has been shown to enhance progress at an individual pace, minimize distractions, and significantly boost understanding of subjects, memory retention and recall, as well as reading comprehension.
