L'IMANOR créé par la loi n° 12.06 relative à la normalisation, la certification et l’accréditation, a pour principale mission la production des normes marocaines et la diffusion et la promotion de la normalisation au niveau national, la certification de la conformité par rapport aux normes et référentiels normatifs, et l’assistance et la formation sur les normes et les techniques associées pour leur mise en œuvre, et la représentation du Maroc dans toute organisation régionale ou internationale de normalisation et auprès des organismes étrangers de normalisation.
