Who are we?
Imber offers day program supports to individuals receiving DSPD services in Salt Lake and Davis County. We are 100% based.
Why is it called Imber?
As our vision was growing from dream to reality, we spent a lot of time thinking about what we would do and how it would happen. During these discussions, we thought about families affected by autism. Often times these families are forced to cope with extreme emotions and behaviors, not only from their child, but often from all members of the family. Some have described these times of crisis, almost as if there is fire that needs to be put out.
Imber is the Latin translation for rain. As we know, rain is nature’s way of extinguishing fire. It is our mission to put out the fires that so many struggle with. We also know that rain brings new life and signals the coming of spring. We desire to bring hope and freedom to these same families so they not only exist but also thrive.
