"As a global community of mechanical engineers represented in over 140 countries, the Institution is the largest network of mechanical engineering knowledge, skill and opportunity in the world.” IMechE University of Malaya Student Chapter Under the umbrella of Young Member’s Section (YMS) of the IMechE Malaysian Branch, the IMechE University of Malaya Student Chapter is established with currently 371 active members in the Faculty of Engineering. It is an entirely non profitable, self-sustaining, student-run society under the efforts of students from Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. With the vision “Improving the world through engineering”, our members strive to widen their knowledge and improve interpersonal skills through various activities conducted by the student chapter. Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya retains its position as one of the best performing Malaysian institutions in the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject. University of Malaya has also made an impressive 17 spot climb up from 87 last year in QS World University Rankings 2020. This is the highest position the university has been at since the rankings began in 2004.
