PROMISE is advancing scientific knowledge on Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) to better inform public health strategies and to support the development and monitoring of novel immunisation and therapeutics against this potentially deadly virus in the paediatric and elderly populations. PROMISE builds on RESCEU’s IMI project results, another Innovative Medicines Initiative project focusing on RSV.
In the next 2.5 years, PROMISE will work to:
- Enhance the value proposition for RSV immunisation by generating new insights on RSV.
- Identify new diagnostic tools and prophylactic interventions.
- Add knowledge on RSV biomarkers and develop a robust surveillance network on RSV disease.
