immuneAdvice is biotechnology startup developing immune cell tracers (ICE-Ts) for the non-invasive detection of immune cells in the body. immuneAdvice is a spin-off of the NMI Natural and Medical Sciences Institute at the University of Tübingen and the Werner Siemens Imaging Center Tübingen. Medical need: immunotherapies have revolutionized cancer treatment in recent years, but their success has been severely limited by the unpredictability of individual responses. The high proportion of unsuccessful immunotherapies results not only in lost time for patients, but also in enormous additional costs for the healthcare system. In an aging society with an increasing number of cancer patients and new immunotherapies, patient stratification is essential. Our technology: immuneAdvice develops single domain antibody (VHHs)-based novel tracer molecules (ICE-Ts) for the detection of immune cell populations in non-invasive clinical imaging. ICE-Ts visualize the dynamic distribution of immune cells and their activation state with high spatial and temporal resolution, allowing individualized assessment of the response to immunotherapy. Our goal is to establish a therapeutic diagnostic that predicts the efficacy of current and future immunotherapies and evaluates them during therapy. immuneAdvice is funded by EXIST - Existenzgründungen aus der Wissenschaft to complete the preclinical development of the first ICE-T. A first human trial is planned to start in 2025.
