Impavid

Impavid is an ITA-based, preclinical-stage medical device and technology platform company focused on highly effective treatments for post-ischemic heart failure. Impavid's patented technology is an innovative cardiac patch classified as class 3 medical device. The device mimics the cardiac extracellular matrix, offering tissue integration and mechanical compliance. It's sterilizable, applicable on a beating heart, and biodegrades without trace, ensuring biocompatibility and tissue preservation. It enables scalable production, lowering costs and time. We have already demonstrated preclinical feasibility and usability in a large animal model. Impavid has upcoming preclinical GLP trials and aims to then carry out a 510(k) FDA submission.
