Improved Futures is a collective of multidisciplinary professionals, developing research and training frameworks in trauma informed care. Our team unites together a dynamic blend of clinical, therapeutic, academic and practice oriented perspectives; including clinical psychology, systemic psychotherapy, social anthropology, inclusive design and frontline social care. We both produce and engage with cutting edge research, whilst making this accessible for those with diverse levels of background training. The vision we share as a collective is to facilitate evidence-based systems of working that are non-pathologising, effective, person-centred and holistic. We share the hope that those impacted by trauma may go on to live improved futures, equipped with tools that empower them towards both agency and social connectedness.
