Impulse Technology's goal is to develop innovative prosthetics and other mechanical systems to restore amputee mobility and improve the quality of their life.
Our current focus is an ankle prosthesis that can be mounted on most commercially available prosthetic feet. This innovative ankle enhances the patient’s mobility by adapting to changes in gait or terrain and significantly decreases the negative effects of misalignment. Our ankle mimics natural ankle functions and provides patients with sustained comfort.
Impulse Technology was founded in 2013 by two Penn State University researchers, Dr. Kamrun Nahar and Dr. Aman Haque, and is located at University Park, PA. We are a member of the Invent Penn State incubator program and a portfolio company of Ben Franklin Technology Partners.
