Founded as Industrial Machine Specialties in 1974 in Lincoln, Nebraska, by former high school friends Elmer Wessel and Nick Cusick. Throughout the 35+ years of continual ownership, the company has grown internally and spawned successful sister companies due in large part to the creativity of its staff and the entrepreneurial spirit of its owners. In 1985, the desire for product and market diversification led to the establishment of Bison Inc., a name recognized nationwide in the sporting goods equipment industry. Bison acquired Institutional Products, Inc. in 2012 and operates it as IPI by Bison. So what does our history have to do with our ability to serve you?
