Inchant

"A highly professional, polished and exciting ensemble - prepare to hear the most vibrant young voices, reimagined for our times" (Anna Wolstenholme - Senior Lecturer, Royal Academy of Music) Founded in 2022, Inchant is a forward-thinking collective of professional singers reimagining the choral concert experience. We bring together some of London’s top young singers, with the ambition of making high quality choral music accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of their prior experiences with classical music. We’re interested in experimenting with the way we perform: presenting concerts in collaboration with artists from different disciplines; singing in unusual venues; and breaking down barriers between audience and performers. Our first projects as a choir have seen us recording backing vocals for a pop song at Abbey Road Studios, and performing in a multidisciplinary collaboration with dancers at the Royal Academy of Music. Inchant functions as a collective, which means that each project features a different group of singers, depending on the requirements of the venue and the music we’re performing. Our choir size is flexible, but we tend to operate as a consort or chamber choir.
