INCLUSÃO

Association for the Promotion of Social Inclusion of Youth and Diversities in Mozambique- INCLUSÃO is a youth led non-profit organization created by young people for young people. INCLUSÃO was initially established in 2023 and officially formalized in 2024, paving the way for the organization to broaden its reach, access funding, and enhance its impact through structured programs and advocacy efforts. INCLUSÃO mission is to promote the social inclusion of youth and diversities in Mozambique by championing democracy and political participation, human rights, climate action, gender & diversities, and economic inclusion through research, capacity building, advocacy, partnerships, and community-driven initiatives to foster a society where all youth, regardless of their backgrounds or identities, can thrive and participate fully and equitably. INCLUSÃO calls for the active participation of young people in social, political, and economic processes. In its years of existence, it has coordinated the following projects: - #GeraçãoSolução, which promotes youth engagement in political, social, and economic issues funded by the French Embassy. - Elas nos Media, promotes gender equality and women representation in media funded by the Goethe-Institut. - Empreender Com Orgulho (Pilot phase) - a project to promote the economic empowerment of LGBT+ young people funded by the Other Foundation. - Empregar Com Orgulho, a public campaign aimed at disseminating articles of law protecting the rights of LGBT+ people, mapping out LGBT friendly businesses; and training professionals in SOGI funded by HIVOS. - National Conference on LGBTQIA+ Economic Empowerment, the conference is held yearly bringing together various stakeholders to reflect on the progress made in promoting LGBTQIA+ socio-economic rights in Mozambique, Southern Africa, and the world. - Sociedade de Plástico, a project to promote youth climate action and climate justice developed on a voluntary basis since 2021.
