We are the UK Chapter of the International Committee for the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas (Incomindios). Founded in 1974 in Switzerland at the suggestion of the International Indian Treaty Council (IITC), Incomindios has worked with Indigenous communities in advocating and protecting the rights of Indigenous Peoples worldwide.
Since 2003, Incomindios holds consultative status as a non-for-profit organisation (NGO) at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), supporting the implementation of Indigenous Peoples’ rights to recognition, self-determination, and justice.
Established in 2018 by Dr. Alicia Kroemer and Barbara Stulz, Incomindios UK works with Indigenous Peoples and grassroots organisations in advocating for the rights of Indigenous Peoples globally- with a special focus on North, Central and South America and for the development in awareness of these issues within the United Kingdom.
