OUR OBJECTIVES
Indeevaram envisions bringing global talent in the field of classical art forms together to showcase the Indian powerhouse of talents. Indeevaram, the name stems from rich vedic history itself. The ‘blue lotus’ is a mystical and rare flower with references throughout our vedas. Also, lotus has the innate ability to grow or showcase beauty even in muddy puddles.
We want Indeevaram to be a place where the world forgets all the differences and creates harmony through the language of love, peace and art. We also want this to be a platform for young and budding talent to prove their worth to the world.
Indeevaram is a confluence of art, artists, and the varied hues of India’s culture. Indeevaram wants to use this platform to bring back the lost glory of Indian classical arts to the modern day Indian society. We want Indeevaram to preserve and help the future generation to persevere for glory through our rich history.
WHY INDEEVARAM ?
We realize that many artists under Indian Classical Art Forms umbrella are badly in need to have a global platform to showcase their talents. Indeevaram is trying to bring together the prodigies and amateurs on the same platform as that of the legends and maestros. The passion of a few IT professionals towards classical art forms ignited the thought to creating such a platform. The idea was conceived and registered in 2018. Indeevaram is a non-profit charitable cultural trust based in Trivandrum to promote Indian classical music, classical dance, other performing arts, literature, etc.
Thiruvananthapuram is the seat of Kerala’s technology, it accounts for more than 55% of software exports for Kerala and for the same reason has a large IT professional’s population. These individuals also pursue their passion strongly. Around Technopark, where majority of the professionals are staying, their family also would get an opportunity of attending programs, also a platform to perform.
Indeevaram intends to do this through multiple approaches.
To build a strong online presence to attract classical art talent from across the globe to make this event a one of larger reach.
To conduct annual festivals that will bring all talents together.
To provide a single platform for Music, Drama, Arts, Dance, Literature etc.
To give access to Seminars, Talk-Shows, Workshops and Exhibitions.
