The Hope House is a registered public charitable trust working for the children in need of care and protection, located in Vellore, Tamilnadu, India.
Mr. Ruby Nakka who was working in the US as a Physical Therapist, inspired after the adoption of his two daughters to undertake this work in India, motivated two other NRI rehabilitation professional friends (who happened to be his friends from Christian Medical College (CMC)), Vellore, from the US who joined hands with him to become co-founders.
What was started with a personal passion turned itself into a professionally managed organization with a primary theme of child protection, currently we work in three districts of the state of Tamilnadu.
Despite being a small organization located in a small town, we dream big. Today, we partner with GiveIndia, Childline India Foundation and Christian Medical College etc. We are open to partnering with any compatible organization that share the similar kind of passion for child protection.
Currently, we have the following projects:
1. Integrated Children's Home (registered under the JJ Act) by the Government of Tamilnadu.
2. Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA). First and the only adoption agency in India, exclusively catering to the needs of adoptable children with special needs. It is registered by the Government of Tamilnadu.
3. Childline - Subcenter: We operate in Ranipet district as a subceter to cater in four blocks namely Kaveripakkam, Nemili, Sholingur and Arakkonam.
4. Child Help Desk: We operate the child help desk of childline india foundation at Jolarpet railway junction.
5. Community Outreach Program (COP): Assisting vulnerable families to keep their chidlren with them, through nutritional support.
6. Project YUVA: Project for the Young people to Understand and Verbalize Adolescence in partnership with CMC hospital, Vellore to promote adolescent helath education in Vellore and Ranipet districts.
