About The Indigenous Navigator

The Indigenous Navigator is a framework and set of tools for and by indigenous peoples to systematically monitor the level of recognition and implementation of their rights. By using the Indigenous Navigator, indigenous organisations and communities, duty bearers, NGOs and journalists can access free tools and resources based on community-generated data. The Indigenous Navigator monitors the implementation of: The UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples; Core human rights conventions as they pertain to indigenous peoples; Essential aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals; The outcomes of the World Conference on Indigenous Peoples. The Indigenous Navigator uncovers the important links between the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and the commitments put forward in the Sustainable Development Goals, and in the Outcome Document of the World Conference on Indigenous Peoples. 'This account was created and maintained with the financial support of the European Union.
