ESSEC Group, privately held mother company of IndigoCare, is a system integrator of nurse call, notification systems and telecom since 1977.
Our first own development was in 1998 with the NETRIX Notification gateway, combining all alarm and notification solutions.
In 2005, as no nursecall manufacturer was moving ahead in innovative applications, we decided to create our own nurse call system: iCall, a complete healthcare communication solution based on the open IP-standard and fit to (re)use old nurse call cabling infrastructure, according to the German VDE0834-01/02 standard. The first system was installed in 2007. With a lot of IP experience coming from the world of Ethernet we developed a complete new approach in nurse call with a distributed architecture based on pure IP.
!! Therefore, we are literally the inventors of Full IP nursecall !!
We created also a separate range for the American-based markets, which is fully UL1069 compliant (listed).
In 2021 we released a brand new & revolutionary 3-in-1 wireless technology, including RTLS, BLE and RFID. As such, we are now active on both wired and wireless markets, offering both the EU (CE/VDE)- and the USA (UL1069)- standards + it's easy to use our wired range in combination with the wireless 433Mhz & 868Mhz.
In 2025 we released a brand new wired solution, including antibacterial foil technology, including RFID ánd BLE inside.
Today, IndigoCare has an installed base in 60 countries worldwide and counting.
