Indlela Consultants (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2013. The company was originally established in Thohoyandou as a formulating and distribution facility serving primarily Limpopo, Mpmulanga and the NW Province. Between 2013 and 2019 the company expanded its customer base and product range to become one of the leading suppliers of coagulants and disinfectants to the public water sector. During this period the company also embarked on a quality management system which resulted in the achievement of ISO 9001:2015 ISO 14001:2015 ISO 45001:2018 NSF/ANSI/CAN 60. Until 2019 the company was heavily reliant on local and imported sources for the products it sold, but in that year took a decision to become as self reliant as possible. As a result, a large “green fields” site was purchased near Rosslyn in Tshwane and the company commenced an ambitious program of designing, building and commissioning its own facility for the production of key raw materials used in the formulation of coagulants, disinfectants and related chemicals. Indlela is a proudly South African company. In this way the company differentiates itself from the more common chemical blending and resale operations and in fact has become a major supplier to many of these resellers. Now the company is able to offer local products to resellers and also to expand the market for its products through new marketing channels into industrial water treatment and process applications. The company is now a significant employer and continues to run its operation in Limpopo and expand its production capability in Tshwane. The company employs experienced water treatment technicians that can advise on chemical selection and usage and owns its own transport fleet. Indlela’s driving force is customer service and every aspect of the operation is focused on fast and efficient response to all customer enquiries or orders.
