Read below to know more 👇 As part of Tauring Group's diversification strategy, the company has been an "Innovative Start-up" (according to the Italian Chamber of Commerce Registry -ex DL 179/2012) competing in the 3D Printing Industry, with a research focus on Metal Additive Manufacturing - specifically developing a Directed Energy Deposition technology (WAAM). The company was founded in 2013 and closed a financing round from Private Investors raising 0.5M€ (at a pre-money valuation of €2.5M); since then, Industrie Additive's engineering team successfully filed a patent to EPO (extended under the PCT) and developed a co-polymer AM System Product Line - designed&engineered in collaboration with Giugiaro Design, Italdesign - selling to prime Corporations and Universities (e.g., Alstom). Reaching an agreement between its parent company (Tauring Spa, Tauring Group) and investors, the Company's assets were sold in a confidential deal at the beginning of 2018, and operations activities were transferred accordingly.
