Indyco is a suite for modeling and designing an Enterprise Data Warehouse, created to respond to the needs of both business users and the IT world.
Indyco Suite was created to cover a gap not currently filled by the market software vendors in the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence fields: user requirements are often collected among documents that are too technical and too difficult to understand. Whilst keeping up with the demands of the business, a system has to promptly respond to all necessary changes, make all information utilizable and facilitate the decision-making processes.
By using a graphical formalism that can be easily understood even by business users, Indyco Suite provides up-to-date documentation that is automatically and easily navigable, thus breaking down the barriers of communication between IT and the business.
Indyco adopts a sufficiently rich formalism to express complex, yet highly readable and expressive modeling concepts. This allows the reductions in the communication gap between business users and specialists who, until now, could only rely on analysis documents (that were often loose, from a technical point of view) or E/R schemas (technically impeccable, but not very expressive).
To facilitate communication means to significantly simplify the collection of requirements, and therefore, to reduce the cost of any rework due to lack of, or poor communication.
In particular, Indyco Suite is composed of two different tools: Builder and Explorer.
