Gaurav Saria started Infinitea in July 2003, with the aim of showcasing to Indians (and travelers to India), the fine bouquet of teas that is naturally available in India. We are a family of proud tea growers. For over 50 years, three generations of energetic entrepreneurs have been manufacturing world class Darjeeling and CTC teas. Given the strange lack of awareness we urban Indians have for tea that's grown in very own backyard, logic demanded that we market of these fabulous and healthy teas in India. The west and the far east have been enjoying fine teas for decades.
Our parent company owns 4 tea estates. Two in Darjeeling – 'Rohini' and 'Gopaldhara' and two in the Dooars area of West Bengal - 'Soongachi Tea' & 'New Glencoe Tea'. All in all, these manufacture over 3 million kgs annually. The Darjeeling teas are exported to USA, Germany, Japan and other countries and the CTC teas have a very strong brand presence in North India under the name “Sona”.
The Infinitea logo promises “from leaf to cup", which really means straight from the grower to your cup with no middlemen and fresh from the garden. You get Darjeeling tea manufactured in First Flush (April) by June of the same year.
