Since its inception in October 1996, the non-profit association Informatik-Forum Stuttgart has been promoting informatics and the informatics department at the University of Stuttgart. Its primary goal is to strengthen the science of computer science and the next generation of scientists as well as to establish and expand relations between science and industry with a focus on the Stuttgart region.
