The Information Security Office (ISO) at The University of Texas at Austin, founded in 1998, is a leader in information and cyber security specializing in security applications and services for large environments like higher education institutions, governmental entities, and enterprises. The ISO provides a broad range of applications that include risk management, risk assessment, incident management, password management, and data leak protection. As well as services in controlled penetration testing, network vulnerability assessments, physical security assessments, and application security assessments. These applications and services are in use at The University of Texas at Austin, one of the largest public institutions in the country; accounting for some 95,000 systems across 175 different departments.
