Infrastructure Design Studio was founded by Directors Martin Jones and Mark Simmonds in 2006. We bring together in excess of 70 years civil engineering experience with a background of working with internationally renowned structural/civil engineering consultant where we were fortunate to work on a number of prestigious, award winning projects.
We are a niche company that offer a really personal, focused service to our clients, be they developers or other design consultants.
We have a portfolio of hundreds of successful projects varying from major Middle Eastern developments, individual domestic properties in the UK, flood protection works, basement drainage projects in central London, canal marina design, national trust landscape design, town centre paving works through to full development infrastructure on social housing schemes in our local counties of Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.
The widespread UK floods of 2007 focused regulators’ and developers’ attention on flooding and drainage issues, so we were well placed to provide consultancy services to several property owners and other professional clients, having delivered numerous sustainable drainage schemes years before they became the norm on contemporary projects. This work occupies a growing proportion of our projects due to the tendency for climate events to become more extreme.
As a small company without the burden of administrative overheads and creativity-sapping management systems to operate, we are able to concentrate on delivering projects and refining our designs to offer cost effective, well considered solutions to our clients.
