IORF is a unique Not-for-Profit organization dedicated to Sustainable Agriculture. As articulated by our Founder Director, Dr. Phalguni Das Biswas, "Access to Safe, Healthy & Nutritious Food is the Legitimate Right of All" is the mission statement of IORF. INHANA is the proprietary owner of the pioneering Novcom® Composting Technology and the path-breaking Inhana Rational Farming (IRF®) Technology. With the implementation of the aforementioned unique technologies, INHANA's dual approach of Soil Health Management and Plant Health Management guarantees measurable and practical sustainability outcomes through on-field delivery towards truly sustainable agriculture. Since sustainable agriculture is the only domain that can address both climate change adaptation and mitigation at the same time, IORF is fully committed to creating concrete and feasible pathways for achieving SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 2 (No Hunger and Promotion of Sustainable Agriculture). Our Current Project: IORF-IBM SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT IORF had initiated the Pesticide Free ‘Clean Food Movement’ in 2020, in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Nadia), ICAR; to develop a SAFE & SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE MODEL that is that is Economically Viable, Ecologically Sustainable and Easily Adoptable especially considering the small and marginal farmers. Looking at the relevance of this initiative with respect to SDG-2, SDG-13 & SDG-15, IBM joined in and took up the ‘Clean Food’ project under its Sustainability Program. IORF has collaborated, and continues to work together with: Global multi-lateral bodies (FAO, CFC); Tea Board of India, NABARD, KVKs; Agricultural universities of India (BCKV, Visva-Bharat.); Multinational corporate entities (IBM and others).
