Initial Response is dedicated to increasing awareness on the benefits of bleeding control training and kits for the public. We may not always be able to prevent emergencies from occurring, but we can ensure communities are trained and equipped to treat and save the lives of those injured in an emergency event. We leverage Special Operations veterans who are exceptionally trained in hemorrhage control and trauma medicine along with our industry partners to provide you with the highest quality bleeding control resources. The contents included in our Initial Response Bleeding Control Kits are some of the same equipment carried and relied on by today's Special Operations and Military personnel. A person can bleed to death within 3 to 5 minutes if not treated. A 2015 Journal of the American Medical Association survey found the average time for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) units to arrive on scene from the time of the 911 call was 7 minutes, and more than 14 minutes in rural areas. Having an Initial Response Kit or adding components such as tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, pressure bandages, and chest seals to your own first aid kits can allow you to stop bleeding prior to EMS arriving. Ultimately increasing chances of survival. Contact us at info@initialresponse.org or visit us at www.initialresponse.org to learn more.
