In India, 7.5% individuals suffer from mental health issues. During the COVID - 19 pandemic, researchers warned us not only about the physical implications but also the emerging mental health issues. Due to lack of awareness, stigma and unavailability of mental health professionals, many individuals end up not receiving professional help when needed. On June 2020, Innate Mind was founded by Ms. Disha Manchekar. She is a psychologist and certified psychotherapist. She has work experience in varied segments such as private practice, workshop facilitator, content developer, researcher and mentor. Ms. Disha believes that each one of us has a natural ability to maintain good mental health under any given circumstance. With proper guidance through therapy or workshops, anyone can learn to lead a more fulfilled life. She also loves interacting with Psychology students form time to time to share her knowledge. Keeping this in mind, Innate Mind aims to accomplish three missions in the long run - 1) To bridge the gap between seeking help and receiving proper therapy to heal from emotional & psychological issues. 2) To develop Mental Health awareness through well - researched content shared on social media and workshops. 3) To mentor and train Psychology students to become good professionals as needed in the field of mental health.
