Innesto Partners is a European focused fund investing in search funds and operating companies. Through the search fund model, Innesto Partners enables motivated entrepreneurs to search, buy, and operate a private, profitable, small business while solving succession issues for its owner. Such an entrepreneur is referred to as a “searcher,” and the vehicle used as a “search fund”. A searcher is someone relatively young but qualified to buy and run a small business. Typically, an MBA graduate with consulting, investment banking, VC/PE, and/or elevated operational work experience. Target industries are typically fragmented, growing and sizeable, and have straightforward operations which are easy to learn. Target companies typically have a clear competitive advantage, recurring and predictable revenues, >10% EBITDA margins, multiple avenues for growth, solid middle management, available financing, owners motivated to sell for non-business reasons, reasonable valuation expectations, and realistic liquidity options in the medium term.
