The Innovation and Technology Management Office (ITMO) , University of Lagos (formerly known as the Innovation Unit of the Research and Innovation Office) is responsible for the coordination of translational inventive works of members of the University community emerging, either from their research and development (R & D) activities or non-procedural mental capital inventions. The office exists to provide the framework and governance structure necessary for packaging inventions from the university community for commercial uptake; and in the process, galvanizes the university in fulfilling its mandates to society and humanity. It is basically the “face” of the university in measuring the university’s relevance to national development.
