Innovative Educational Solutions, Inc. is a charter management organization located in the Greater New Orleans area of Louisiana. We have organized as a Non-Profit to address the achievement gaps existing between students of multi-ethnic, urban communities when compared to students of majority city and suburban communities. While we surely believe in the advancement of all students, regardless of race, ethnic background, or socioeconomic status, we also realize that there is a community of students that remains undeserved. We aim to reach that community. Westbridge Academy is a collaborative effort between parents and educators, who have come to the table together to plan a school that truly has the best interest of the stakeholders at heart. We stand to operate the ONLY K-8th charter school of its kind in the state. Westbridge Academy will influence the growth and development of our students using a culturally appropriate, male-oriented philosophy to ensure that all students know their worth and operate soundly in their areas of strength, while developing in their areas of strength, while developing in their areas of growth. We will take pride in creating an environment and school culture where students enjoy their educational experiences. Also, our staff will create a nurturing environment focused on the building of valuable relationships and restorative justice ideals, which will ensure a lower incidence of suspensions and expulsions and a higher degree of academic engagement. This is one of our core tenets - to decrease the incidence of suspensions and expulsions because children cannot learn if they are not inside the classroom. Successful completion of the Westbridge Academy experience shall produce students of high self-confidence and high academic achievement. Our program is designed to steer students to college, engaging in career paths that will continue their efforts to make an imprint on the global society.
