Innovative Radiology is privately owned by John M. Tentinger, MD. Dr. Tentinger earned his medical degree from The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Tentinger leads the imaging and diagnostic departments for Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa and Pella Regional Medical Center in Pella, Iowa.
Innovative Radiology recently purchased Alliance Health Care in West Des Moines. The imaging center will be rebranded in December 2023 with expanded imaging services.
Dr. Tentinger is the owner and developer for a 25.3-acre medical campus, Total Health Experience, in Urbandale, Iowa which is slated to open in mid-2025. Total Health Experience is the future site of Innovative Radiology’s state-of-the-art imaging headquarters that will serve as the diagnostic hub for a multi-disciplinary, regional medical center.
Innovative Radiology's Urbandale campus will offer MRI, CT, PET, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, mammography, stereotactic biopsy, DEXA and DR imaging. In addition to traditional imaging, Innovative Radiology will emphasize brain imaging and whole-body health assessments.
