Innovent was acquired by Broadcom in 2000, having raised only one round of financing of less than $10 million. The acquisition of Innovent became the foundational technology for Broadcom’s Mobile and Wireless Group. Broadcom’s Mobile and Wireless Group, in 2013 accounted for 45% of the company’s total revenue with $3.9 Billion in annual revenue and 4,500 employees.
