Inquire Education

Inquire Education was founded in 2022 by education futurist, Michelle Alston. Combining elements of her constructivist training with her vast experiences working with STEM education from Tertiary to Early Childhood, Michelle has linked student autonomy and the development of sense of self with the visible decline in childhood and adolescent mental wellbeing and has found Inquiry to be the bridge. As world technological advancements move institutionalised education towards more screen use, there is an increasing need for families to have a space where their children are able to safely explore themselves and who they are, within real-world, physical environments and what better medium than STREAM education? Michelle's takes STEAM to different dimensions and intuitively flows with "STREAM"... Science - IE's focus is on natural world phenomena, scientific process and producing consciously aware, scientifically literate generations who know Our Earth and how best to care for the planet into the future. Technology - IE promotes green time over screen time, however, utilises scientific apparatus and technologies to enhance learning experiences without reliance on the digital world. Relaxation - Young people are free to explore their own intuitive connectedness with life force energies through a variety of ancient human understandings and practices, essential to the development of higher order thinking skills, creativity and sense of self. Engineering/Environment - Real world problem solving related to Environmental issues are essential at this point in history. Design Engineering is the focus, appropriately challenging and empowering young people to create and problem solve their own way. Art - IE offers nature immersion and art opportunity as well as freedom in self expression strengthening confidence and community connections. Math - IE provides real world numeracy applications and encourages a love of mathematics when used in a fun, outdoor environment.
